Criticism of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is mounting in a call to dismiss his aide and associate, Dominic Comings, who violated the state's corona blockade. 

A Johnson government minister told a radio station in the UK that as a result of Johnson's refusal to fire Cummings, "the government is bleeding support, really losing it quickly. I am amazed by Johnson's standing with Cummings at this time to keep his job."

Other members of Johnson's conservative party have called on the prime minister to fire the adviser and prevent a "loss of confidence" in the government as Britain faces a major outbreak of corona disease.

The British newspaper reported Tuesday that, despite Cummings' government directives on home isolation for anyone suffering from the symptoms of the virus as well as banning meetings with at-risk groups, he and his wife, who also suffered from the symptoms, decided to travel 330 miles from London to the city where the senior counselor's parents live .

A source close to the couple told the BBC that the decision was made following their condition and the two "needed help with child care." Adding that the couple was staying in a secluded room on the grounds of the home where the parents live.

The publications sparked angry reactions across the kingdom. A Labor spokesman said: "If the reports are true, it means that the prime minister's most senior adviser has violated the directives, which have been very clear. There can be no rule for the British people and a different rule for Dominic Cummings."

Today, an official response came from Prime Minister Johnson's residence for publications.
