● End of the 100 km rule

● In bars, cafes and restaurants, rules to respect

Bars, cafes and restaurants will once again welcome the public from June 2, only on their terrace in the orange zone. "The revival of this sector (...) is crucial for the economy and employment, and is part of our art of living," said the Prime Minister. But health rules must be respected. In detail, client groups can only consist of a maximum of 10 people. A minimum distance of one meter between the tables of each group must be respected. Wearing a mask will be mandatory for staff, but also for customers when they are traveling. "We will ask not to allow consumption standing inside," said Edouard Philippe.

● All high schools reopen in the green zone, the oral exam of the French bac canceled

High schools will reopen faster. In the green zone, all establishments will reopen and welcome students of at least one level as of June 2. In the orange zone, a distinction is made. In vocational lycées, which house “no more dropouts” according to the Minister of National Education, students in the 12th grade and in CAP will be welcomed. As for general and technological high schools, they will only open their doors to students summoned for individual educational interviews. For the first classes, the oral exam of the French bac is canceled: the marks of the first two trimesters will be taken into account.

Edouard Philippe prepared minds for a “historic recession” to follow the health crisis. He relied on unemployment figures for April, published today: "the number of unemployed people has increased by more than 800,000 compared to March, this is unfortunately historic" .
