The United States announced on Thursday that it was offering up to three million dollars for information allowing the arrest of an official of the Islamic State group responsible for supervising the videos of the jihadist organization's execution.

The wanted man is the Jordanian Abu Bakr al-Gharib, whose real name is Muhammad Khadir Musa Ramadan. "He oversaw the organization, coordination and production of numerous propaganda videos and publications which included scenes of torture and brutal and cruel execution of innocent civilians , " the US State Department said in a statement.
These propaganda videos, including beheadings, had frozen the international community in fright and allowed the jihadist group to attract new recruits from around the world.
US special forces killed the self-proclaimed ISIS "caliph" Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in October in Syria. If the organization no longer has its territory straddling Syria and Iraq, some of its claimed members continue to carry out terrorist operations, in particular in Afghanistan or in sub-Saharan Africa.
