It was Michou's secret garden. For more than sixty years, he lived between his legendary Montmartre cabaret and a modest apartment, just a few hundred meters away. The love at first sight for a terrace facing the Sacré-Coeur is at the origin of the purchase of this cocoon, just after his professional beginnings in Paris. Little by little, he decorated it in his image. The “Michou blue” has thus become present everywhere, from the sofa in the living room where he worked every morning to the thirty jackets, pants and panamas hanging in the wardrobe, via the hi-fi system, the bathrobe or the phone. It was also the color of the porcelain dishes and a series of crystal glasses. They adorned the dinner table that he regularly organized in his tiny dining room. He received stars, singers and journalists who often had never met.
