From mid-June, indoor events with up to 50 people can take place again. Nevertheless, the Planegger Kulturforum canceled all dates until September. The Gräfelfinger community center only partially starts up again.

Würmtal - A cabaret show with Bernd Gieseking and Jess Jochimsen on June 25, a summer concert by the music school Planegg-Krailling on July 10, and a cabaret evening with Thomas Schreckenberger on July 16 were on the program of the Planegger until the summer break Copper house. "But we canceled the three events as well as Christian Springer's appearance in September," explains Kulturforum boss Anja Fanslau. “We have 339 cabaret subscribers, plus up to 60 individual tickets sold each. We would have to play a lot to accommodate everyone with 50 allowed visitors. ”Experience has shown that around 200 guests also come to the music school's summer concert.

Final line drawn under the season

The municipality of Planegg, as the operator of the cultural forum, decided on Thursday at the weekly meeting of the Corona crisis team in the town hall to draw a line under the season. How it will continue from September is still unclear. "There will probably be more easing by then. But we have to wait and see what they look like and then work out a corresponding concept. We look at each event individually because each one is different, ”says Fanslau. The elaborated usage concepts in compliance with the hygiene and clearance rules would also have to be approved by Mayor Hermann Nafziger and Town Hall Managing Director Stefan Schaudig.

Due to the corona, 15 events could not take place in the Kupferhaus since March, now there are three more cancellations. "Four had to be dropped completely, the others we postponed to 2021, which was not easy either, because the calendar was already quite full," says Fanslau. The tickets for the relocated events remain valid or can be returned. Cabaret subscribers will receive a separate information letter. So far, only a few citizens have returned their cards, which is mainly due to the fact that the ticket sales offices and at times the Planegger Rathaus were closed.

"For us, the whole organization meant that we had more work than if it were open," says Fanslau, who also refers to the Munich Tickets campaign "Your Tickets for Culture". As part of the campaign, the card values of unusual evenings can be donated in favor of the artists, "what many did when a canceled event of the Munich Metropolitan Theater, less with other cancellations."

Limited operation in the Gräfelfinger community center

The Gräfelfinger community center will start up again in the next few weeks, but only to a limited extent. "Events such as adult education at the Würmtaler Volkshochschule or meetings of clubs can take place, but not others," says director Jan Konarski. He is also currently reviewing every event. The Gräfelfinger street festival will not take place in September as usual, but Konarski is in talks about a possible alternative.

Konarski used the closure time forced by the corona pandemic to carry out repair and renovation work that had been stuck for years. "It was also a good thing to get something like this that would hardly be feasible during the opening hours."

The concert hall of the Kupferhaus is currently being used for other purposes.
