In the future, customers will have to do some business transactions themselves at the self-service machine. Kirchseeon shopkeepers "indignant".

Kirchseeon - "It is ok to close it temporarily," says Hans Forcht (63). Now, however, the Kirchseeon business people are concerned that the temporary closure of the Sparkasse branch in Kirchseeon on Münchner Straße could become permanent. Upon request, he only received "flimsy explanations", says the owner of a stationery store with a lottery office. "Even the mailbox is taped shut." But that doesn't stay that way, the EZ learned on request.

Because many Kirchseeoners hand in their lottery tickets, the 63-year-old, according to his own information, has numerous contacts with other shopkeepers on site. "They are all indignant about what's going on."

He also no longer receives roll money in the office. "It doesn't work without cash, especially when you sell newspapers," says Forcht. Anyone looking for the Kirchseeoner Sparkasse on the Internet will also be informed there: “Temporarily closed.” And speaking of cash: “Now the deposit machine was broken again for three days. No fitter came there, ”reports the businessman.

The result is that he has to drive his earnings to Ebersberg or Grafing in the branches there, and that is not a pleasant idea for Forcht of all people, as he says.

Masked man tried to raid the lottery office

Pretty much three years ago, a masked man had tried to raid the lottery ticket office on Munich Street. He had threatened Forcht with a knife and asked for money. After the shopkeeper refused to do so, he receives an answer from the stranger: "Then you are dead."

What the perpetrator had not expected at the time: Instead of pulling out cash, Forcht pulled out a pepper spray. "I'm not scared," said the 63-year-old in retrospect. The stranger was later caught and convicted when he also raided a supermarket. "I was at the trial."

Nevertheless, the shopkeepers and other business people in Kirchseeon would prefer not to have to transport their daily income to branches in neighboring banks. "It's a bad feeling." The closure, which Forcht attributes to the restrictions caused by the corona pandemic, is particularly difficult for older customers. Because the deposit box for the transfer notes is located in the closed office. It could be that the staff in Kirchseeon had to be deployed to other branches at short notice and unpredictably, which is why the closure, he was told.

Sparkasse: Reopening of all closed branches June 15th

When asked by the EZ, Sparkasse München Starnberg Ebersberg said: "Unless the infection happens unexpectedly, we plan to reopen all currently closed branches from Monday, June 15, 2020." This affects the places Aßling, Baldham, Forstinning, Glonn , Kirchseeon, Steinhoring and Zorneding.

However, there is a change, as feared by Forcht: "Due to a reduced staffing, we are adapting the range of services to the essential business transactions. That is why cash withdrawals and deposits in our branches are only possible via the self-service devices even after they have reopened. ”

Large branches are available

The larger branches in Ebersberg, Grafing, Markt Schwaben, Poing and Vaterstetten would still be available for other cash-related services such as coin deposits, coin roll expenses, grade purchases and for payments over 5000 euros. There are additional self-service branches in the district of Ebersberg in Anzing, Ebersberg, Eglharting, Egmating, Markt Schwaben, Moosach, Oberpframmern, Pöring, Pliening, Poing.

"Starting tomorrow, we will make our customers aware of the planned reopening with notices on site," said Kerstin Brehm of the Sparkasse.
