German Health Minister Jens Spahn said today that the United States' cut-off of its relationship with the World Health Organization is a serious setback.
"The European Union must make a greater financial commitment to the World Health Organization after the announcement of US President Donald Trump to cut all bridges with the organization," Span said in a tweet on Twitter.
Trump announced yesterday that all US relations with the World Health Organization (WHO) had been suspended, despite the ongoing outbreak of the Corona virus.
The Trump administration has previously accused many of the World Health Organization of failing to provide countries with the necessary information about the outbreak of the emerging virus and bias to China, while observers indicated that the steps of the US President aimed to cover up criticism of his administration for its failure to confront the Corona virus outbreak.
