If the kindergarten year started now, many parents would be without a childcare place. After registration, 89 children have no place in the crib area. The number of nursery schools is 195.
Germering - Mayor Andreas Haas described the situation with childcare in the social committee as “anything but rosy.” He could understand that many parents are frustrated after enrollment because they have not been accepted. He had a small consolation plaster ready for those affected: “The situation is never good at this time. Experience has shown that a lot will change until September. ”However, this is not satisfactory.
On the one hand, Haas cited the poor personnel situation among non-urban organizations as the causes of the dilemma. This means that rooms would exist, but due to the lack of educators, no further groups can be formed. On the other hand, two new buildings can probably only be opened at the end of the year: the children's house by Denk Mit! at the train station and the facility at the Little Stachus. If both are related, there are even more kindergarten places than applicants, says Haas - if there are staff.
Recruitment of personnel
This year, 322 children were registered for the crèches. 48 could not be considered because they were born after the cut-off date. Nine applicants did not live in Germering. 176 places could be allocated.
There were 527 registrations at the kindergartens. 67 warnings born after the reporting date and were not taken into account. There are currently 268 places available. A query among all institutions has shown that 188 places cannot be filled with older children due to a lack of staff. In the crib area there are 29.
Complaints about the lack of staff are made above all among the free and church organizations. It looks better with the urban facilities. According to Kämmerer René Mroncz, this is partly due to the personnel recruitment concept that was developed years ago. In addition, the metropolitan area allowance is paid and further financial incentives are granted. Mroncz took up the suggestion of Maximilan Streicher (ÖDP), with the help of small gestures, such as the offer of free coffee or daily fruit bowls, to further increase staff satisfaction.
Social secretary Herbert Sedlmeier (CSU) confirmed that the city had done its homework. The problem is the other providers - although they also receive a subsidy from the city for the granting of the metropolitan area allowance, as Barabara Paech from the social welfare office explained. Discussions with these agencies, in which the new childcare consultant Johannes Landendinger (SPD) is also involved, should provide further improvements here.
