The government appointed the Federation of Trade Unions He Qiming as Deputy Director of the Labour and Welfare Bureau

The Government announced today (30th) that on the recommendation of the appointment committee, Chief Executive Lin Zheng Yuee appointed He Qiming, a member of the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions, as the Deputy Secretary of the Labour and Welfare Bureau and Ye Junlian, a member of the DAB, as the Financial Services and Treasury Bureau Political Assistant to the Secretary. The two will assume their new roles on June 1.

The Government announced today (30th) that on the recommendation of the appointment committee, Chief Executive Lin Zheng Yuee appointed He Qiming, a member of the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions, as the Deputy Secretary of the Labour and Welfare Bureau and Ye Junlian, a member of the DAB, as the Financial Services and Treasury Bureau Political Assistant to the Secretary. The two will assume their new roles on June 1.

The government stated that He Qiming, 35, was a member of the Legislative Council before joining the government. He was a Kwun Tong District Council Member from 2012 to 2019.

The government stated that He Qiming was enthusiastic about public services, including serving as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Director General of the Hong Kong Federation of Manufacturing Industries, and the Council Member of the Hong Kong Civil and Professional General Council. He has extensive experience in handling labor matters. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and is a member of the Federation of Trade Unions.

The 28-year-old Ye Junlian joined the government as a senior manager of Financial One Account (China Ping An Group Associate), and worked in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange from 2013 to 2018 and was promoted to assistant vice president. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics and finance from the University of Hong Kong and is a member of the DAB.
