Erdinger's fashion house boss Wolfgang Kraus is satisfied with the sales after the corona-related forced closure, but the large construction site in front of the door annoys him.
"People want to shop," says Wolfgang Kraus, head of the eponymous fashion house on Schrannenplatz and chairman of the Ardeo interest group in Erding. It is now launching a new campaign to draw attention to its almost 100 member companies: Erdings colored houses. In 17 of them there will be flowers for customers from next week.
Pleasure about customer satisfaction
Since the reopening after the corona-related forced closure, Kraus has had the impression that customers appreciate the smaller shops with personal advice, especially in these times. "I'm totally delighted with the response," he says. Regular customers would come as well as new customers. "The mask is annoying, of course, but it works quite well." He has also received positive feedback on sales from other stores.
All employees from short-time work back
Like Kraus, many had had to send their employees on short-time work. In the fashion house everyone is back and has a lot to do. Not only Corona caused sadness, but also the large construction site at Schrannenplatz. "A worse combination is hard to imagine," says Kraus. He doesn't just have his business here. "We also live behind the construction site." The Dixi toilet for the construction workers is directly opposite the house entrance. Kraus would not have wished for more consideration from those responsible, not only in its positioning. “It is clear that the work is necessary. But I lack the feeling that you are walking around and talking to people, ”he says.
Ardeo campaign "Erding's colorful houses"
Erdings colorful houses have a lot on the flag: individually managed, best service, local jobs, compact diversity, locally rooted, rich in tradition. This includes not only retail stores in the city center, but also restaurants, cultural and service companies as well as artisans.
They all participate. Customers recognize this from the distinctive logo on the front door - “and they know right away that there is a special piece of Erding behind it. Those who shop here directly support the local economy and help maintain the variety of products on offer, ”emphasizes Kraus. An overview is available on the Internet at www.erdingsbuntehaeuser.de. "We are actively committed to ensuring that our hometown Erding remains lively and lovable - through our membership in the Ardeo Network Erding, through regional business, as possible through the preservation of our houses - and not least by paying our taxes here," explains Kraus.
