A former FDP politician even worked as Angela Merkel's Vice Chancellor. Now the obligation to wear a mask became a “doom” during the Corona period.

  • In the Corona period *, a mask is required.
  • When shopping, wearing mouth-nose protection * is temporarily required.
  • For an ex-vice chancellor, this was now a “doom”.

Munich - Especially in the Corona period *, many politicians are in public much more often than before. Their faces can be seen much more often in the daily news, at political talks or press conferences. Seldom have the people so much in demand been so present in our everyday life. A former politician has now drawn attention to himself with an anecdote while shopping in Germany.

Former Vice Chancellor Rösler: Stefan Raab took his look at the grain

Philipp Rösler was Vice Chancellor under  Angela Merkel a few years ago . However, it has been a while since the former FDP politician went in and out of the Bundestag. In 2013, almost seven years ago, he left politics. As Minister of Health, Minister of Economy and Chairman of the FDP, Rösler is still known to many today - but perhaps a little more difficult to recognize with a face mask.

Admittedly, something is gnawing at the now 47-year-old. In the meantime the hair has turned a little gray. But Rösler always looked younger than he was. In his late-night show TV-Total, Stefan Raab also developed children's books based on his childish appearance - the “Fipsi” series.

Former Vice-Chancellor Rösler in Corona times: "Mask requirement not so bad"

And his youthful appearance also plays a role in his anecdote. As the former Vice Chancellor said on Twitter, he was shopping in Germany. And as is so common in the current time *, Rösler also had to wear a mask *.

He writes: “When I bought a bottle of sparkling wine, the seller asked me for my ID !!! Despite gray hair. So the mask requirement is not so bad after all ”. To make that clear, he even added a selfie with himself and the mask. It is allowed to buy sparkling wine in Germany from the age of 16.

Rösler has been living in Switzerland since 2013 and, during his two-year tenure as Angela Merkel's representative, at least with this seller, he did not have enough memories. From 2014 to 2017 he was the managing director of the World Economic Forum. He has been on several supervisory boards since 2019.
