Civil Defense personnel and the fire brigade in Homs today put out several fires that affected lands planted with wheat, barley and fruit trees, in addition to herb fires.

Brigadier-General Ghayath Aqel, director of Civil Defense in Homs, said in a statement to SANA correspondent that the first fire affected an area of ​​ten dunums of wheat, barley and fruit trees on the Homs Hama road east of Al-Mahlej, and it was completely extinguished.

Akel added that today, two other fires were also extinguished in areas of the first herbs, west of the Peasant Union gas station in Homs, and the second at Al-Jadida farms, without causing damage to crops or trees, and the damage was limited to herbs.
