Germering - Head Lolita Lamping reported in the Social Committee that the corona-severely restricted operation is now slowly starting up again.

With the re-entry of the preschool children this week, around 35 small Germeringer are present every day in the three kindergarten groups and a crèche group. During the emergency care, there were only five to ten children. In normal operation, 75 children visit the facility - there would even be space for 99.

Lamping and her current six employees took advantage of the quiet times and partially restructured the house. They created new creative and exercise spaces and set up a children's kitchen, which Lamping says can also be used for muddling.

Lolita Lamping also had another positive piece of news at hand: she was able to gain six additional employees, and two more will be added in September.

The committee was supposed to give the children's house a new name. Lamping and her team proposed “Neverland” - known from James Barrie's Peter Pan books. An examination of whether this might violate trademark law was not yet over until the meeting. A decision was postponed. According to OB Andreas Haas, the term ABS (for Alfons-Baumann-Straße), which is often used in the meeting, will certainly not remain. kg
