The world champions will be able to find the grounds. Suspended on March 18, rugby, like all other team sports, has in fact been authorized by the South African government to resume. Sports Minister Nathi Mthethwa, however, laid down some conditions. The federations will have to establish security protocols to be able to welcome the players. For the president of the South African rugby federation, Jurie Roux, "this is the news that the sport has been waiting for because it allows us to start accelerating the preparations for a possible return to the game". He confirmed that SARU has already submitted a complete safety package to the ministry. South Africa is one of the countries on the African continent most affected by the coronavirus (30,000 cases, more than 600 deaths).
