Best Pentecost weather - and on Tuesday it could even be really summery: The German Weather Service expects temperatures around 30 degrees.
Offenbach (dpa) - Germany is facing the hottest day of the year so far. According to the German Weather Service (DWD), the 30-degree mark could be broken on Tuesday.
The previous records were measured on May 22nd in Kleve on the Lower Rhine at 29.0 degrees, followed by Rheinfelden in Baden-Württemberg at 28.9 degrees, as a DWD meteorologist said.
On Wednesday, summery 24 to 29 degrees are also expected. In the night to Thursday, however, thick clouds appear, which sometimes bring heavy showers and thunderstorms. The result: On Thursday it is significantly cooler at 18 to 25 degrees, with the highest temperatures being reached in eastern Germany. For meteorologists, summer started on Monday (June 1st).
