The director of agriculture, engineer, Ayham Hamid, said in a statement to SANA correspondent today that the reality of crop growth is generally good, with some areas recently planted affected by high temperatures, in addition to the presence of fungal infections in some early planting sites that are being controlled by farmers.
Eng. Hamed pointed out that the crop harvest operations within the cultivated areas of about 29,697 hectares will begin in the coming weeks.
