The firefighting teams in As-Suwayda governorate, in cooperation with the residents, put out a number of fires that broke out in varying areas in separate areas of the governorate today, some of which caused damage to limited areas of fruit trees and field crops.

The commander of the fire brigade in the Sweida Fire Brigade, Aktham Al-Nabwani, told a SANA reporter that the regiment dealt with ten fires, one of which was in a warehouse filled with hay material consisting of three rooms on the intersection of As-Suwayda Road, where about 100 burlap sacks were burned before controlling the fire as well as controlling a fire West of Salim village on Kafr Al-Quhaf road, damages 30 olive trees and simple areas of wheat in addition to twenty dunums of dry herbs.

The regiment was also extinguished, according to Nabwani, and with the support of the Directorate of Agriculture and Civil Defense, a fire came on an area of ​​about twenty dunums of dry grass in the vicinity of Al-Tha'la Airport, up to the lands of the village of Al-Dara, in addition to another fire near Al-Haytham Hall for Weddings in the city of As-Suwayda, as well as fires in the city of As-Suwayda near the electricity buildings and the west of the Al-Kom area and on My way, luga and atil included limited areas of dry grass.

As a firefighting unit, Shahba, according to the unit's leader, Waseem Al-Tawil, extinguished several fires in cooperation with the people, including east of the village of Al-Haqqf on the Qasr Road.

Al-Taweel pointed out that fires were also dealt with a limited number of olive trees between the city of Shahba and the village of Merdak and dry grass on an area of ​​five acres in the village of Kafr Al-Quhaf in addition to a dry grass fire near the municipal stadium site in the city of Shahba.

In addition to extinguishing a fire this morning, in cooperation with the Emergency Department of Agriculture and the Water and Residents Foundation, a fire broke out south of the village of Al-Anat at the Syrian-Jordanian border and extended to dozens of dunums of dry grass. Dozens of fires erupted recently in the Governorate of As-Suwayda with varying areas of dry herbs, some of which damaged thousands of dunums of agricultural lands, field crops, fruit trees, and forests in separate locations in the governorate before firefighting teams, the concerned authorities, and the people could extinguish them.
