There is an absolute need for action for the municipalities. This was also clear to the members of the Uffingen municipal council, who met on Thursday in the school gymnasium. They want to stop the chaotic hustle and bustle. "We have to do something to counteract the pressure from leisure time and think about adding signs and paying fees," said Mayor Andreas Weiß (independent). "Last weekend I counted 25 wild camper around the community pool alone," he said. “People come with vehicles that do not have their own toilets, consume things they have brought with them and leave us their rubbish, sometimes also their faeces, in the most impossible places. Signs saying 'no overnight stays' are useless. ”

White suggested that parking on the designated areas be limited to pure passenger cars and that small and camping buses should be allocated their own areas. This met with approval. The mayor is keen to prevent wild parking, but not to punish the locals with new regulations.
White answered the question from Marcus von Bechtolsheim (WGU) whether locals would have to pay the same as visitors, so members of the sports clubs, the water guard as well as employees of the community pool and the Alpenblick lake restaurant should receive free long-term parking permits. Thomas Hartmann (WGU) was not very enthusiastic about the idea of such ID cards. He spoke of a "hardship with such parking cards". And Albert Huber (WGU) suggested that the restricted no-stop signs on Ach- and Röthenbachstrasse should only be set up on weekends, which was immediately incorporated into the proposed resolution.

The municipal council voted in each case without a vote in favor of further steps: For example, three parking machines for a total of around 18,000 euros were purchased for the parking lot of the Alpenblick sea restaurant and the lido, and the fees at all municipal parking areas and recreation areas were increased or raised for the first time. In addition, you set up a uniform signage. In addition to the lakeside restaurant and lido, the parking lots at Seewinkel / Kirchtalstrasse, at the municipal bathing area (whose parking lot was the only one previously subject to fees) and at the Achebrücke, at the old sports field (Achstrasse) and at the Wanderparkplatz / Obernacherstrasse, where vending machines are also installed.
