George Floyd's family reveals autopsy data 0:56

(CNN) - Although many questions still remain about the murder of George Floyd - specifically why a Minneapolis police officer used deadly force while arresting him - three videos help reconstruct the last minutes of the 46-year-old man.

The details surrounding Floyd's death continued to be known Monday, as protests erupted across the United States.

Protesters chanted "I Can't Breathe," one of Floyd's last words and a phrase embedded in national consciousness after New York Police drowned Eric Garner during a 2014 arrest, resulting in his death. Those who went out to protest also demanded justice in the murders of Breonna Taylor in Louisville, Kentucky, and Ahmaud Arbery, in Glynn County, Georgia.

In the latest video showing Floyd's last moments, Officer J. Alexander Kueng is seen fighting with someone in the back seat of a police patrol. What happened is not entirely clear from the footage, but a police report noted that Floyd refused to get into the authorities' vehicle during the May 25 incident.

Kueng and police officers Thomas Lane, Tou Thao and Derek Chauvin were dismissed. Chauvin - who knelt on Floyd's neck for more than eight minutes, according to a prosecutor's statement of probable cause - faces charges of third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter. CNN has contacted Chauvin's attorney and the Minneapolis Police Union for comment.

This is what the three videos show:

Video 1: the arrest

The first video, obtained from a surveillance camera, shows Floyd in the driver's seat of a vehicle as Lane and Kueng approach. Lane goes to Floyd's window, while Kueng heads to the other side of the car, where there is a man in the front chair and a woman in the back, as seen in the images.

Employees of the Cup Foods store across the street reported that Floyd attempted to pass a counterfeit $ 20 bill, a prosecutor's statement of probable cause said to indict Chauvin. Lane pulls out his gun and points it at Floyd, while demanding that he show his hands, the document points out, but the gun is not visible in the video.

Floyd puts his hands on the wheel and Lane holsters his weapon, the statement added.

Seconds later, Lane pulls Floyd out of the car, as seen in the images. Police allege that Floyd "actively resisted being handcuffed," the statement of probable cause was recorded, but Floyd's vehicle is blocking camera view.

Kueng, who is dialoguing with the other passengers in the vehicle, walks around the car to help Lane. Lane then addresses the passengers, who are outside the car, as Kueng walks Floyd down the sidewalk and sits him on the ground, the video shows. Floyd looks awkward as he walks.

Kueng talks to Floyd for about a minute and a half, then hands his notebook over to an unidentified agent who had just arrived in a Minneapolis Park Police SUV, and with Lane's help lifts Floyd off the ground.

The pair takes Floyd across the street to a police patrol, where Floyd falls to the ground, as seen in the images. What happens next is unclear as the agent for the Minneapolis Park Police vehicle makes a U-turn, blocking the camera view.

"Mr. Floyd stiffened, fell to the ground and told the police officers that he was claustrophobic," according to the probable cause statement.

Video 2: a fight

The second video is short, about 20 seconds approximately, and corresponds to a Cup Foods security camera. Judging from the times stated in the probable cause statement and the hours that were recorded in the video, it appears to begin approximately five minutes after the above images end.

In it, Kueng has his foot pressed against the sidewalk, while most of his body is covered by the patrol's back door and the dark tint of the windows. Only one of his legs is visible.

He appears to be fighting with someone inside the vehicle. Her leg wobbles as Kueng leans against the sidewalk, trying to keep his balance.

Meanwhile, Thao observes what happens but does not attend, according to the images. Lane and Chauvin are on the other side of the patrol with the back door open.

Kueng gets out, runs around the back of the vehicle, and Thao walks towards the open door, but Kueng turns back and closes the door.

Chauvin and Thao arrived after Floyd told police officers he was claustrophobic, according to the probable cause statement.

Citing Floyd's size (1.82 meters tall, over 90 kilos), the document claimed that Floyd, handcuffed, fought with the officers, intentionally fell, "refused to stand still," and told officers that would not enter the police vehicle.

Floyd told officers he could not breathe before "falling to the ground face down and still handcuffed," the statement said.

Video 3: knee in the neck

The third video, shot by a viewer, has been widely broadcast and likely played a major role in the protests in Minneapolis and the country.

In the images, Chauvin is seen in the back corner of the police patrol, putting one of his knees on Floyd's neck when he, face down, pleads with the officers to release him. An off-camera voice repeatedly tells Floyd to get in the car, and other witnesses repeatedly tell officers to step on top of him, according to what is seen in the video.

"Kueng held Mr. Floyd's back and Lane held his legs," the probable cause statement stated. “(Chauvin) placed his left knee in the area of Mr. Floyd's head and neck. Mr. Floyd said, 'I can't breathe' several times and repeatedly said 'Mom' and 'please' as well. (Chauvin) and the other two agents remained in their positions, "said the document,

Floyd also says, "I'm done," and repeatedly screams in anguish, as seen in the images.

"My stomach hurts. My neck hurts. Everything hurts. I need some water or something, please. Please, "he insists.

Floyd also tells the witnesses, "They're going to kill me, man." And then to the police: "Don't kill me." Thao stands between the witnesses and the agents holding Floyd down.

You also hear someone say: "This is the reason why they should not use drugs, children," to which one of the witnesses most responds: "It is not about drugs."

The police officers told Floyd, "You are speaking well," according to the probable cause statement, and when Lane asked if they should turn Floyd over, Chauvin said he was standing still.

"I am concerned about excited delirium or whatever," Lane said, according to the document.

"So we have it upside down," Chauvin replied.

Floyd then stops moving, a moment witnesses seize the opportunity to tell officers over and over to check his pulse. Kueng searches for the pulse on Floyd's right wrist and reports, "I couldn't find one," according to the probable cause statement.

Heartbreaking details of George Floyd's death 4:30

Chauvin kept his knee on Floyd's neck for more than eight minutes, the document stated, and continued to kneel on Floyd for two minutes and 53 seconds after he stopped responding.

Floyd was pronounced dead in a hospital, and the Hennepin County Medical Examiner wrote in a report that the police restriction, underlying health conditions, and "any potential intoxicant in his system likely contributed to his death."

The report also noted: "Police are trained that this type of restraint with a subject in the upside down position is inherently dangerous."
