In the coming months and years, Hans Seidl sees the main task for the Brucker district association of the Bavarian Community Day in financings and their effects becoming scarcer.

District - The Mayor of Maisach was elected as the successor to Emmering's former mayor Michael Schanderl, his new deputy is Mammendorf's city hall chief Josef Heckl.

For six years, Schanderl had chaired the committee in which the mayors of all 23 district municipalities are organized. Dominant topics during his tenure included asylum, the founding of the inter-municipal housing association, but also the "wind power" partial land use plan that was later canceled. Now he handed the baton to Seidl in the new election in the community center of his home town.

Finance is Seidl's core topic

With the community day he wants to give impulses on the political levels from bottom to top. Above all, he has an eye on public finances. In view of the impending economic crisis caused by the corona pandemic, Seidl says: "As a community day, we also have to be careful about what the district can still afford." The scarcity of finances would affect other areas that the body does not lose sight of may.

This includes Seidl social issues such as the housing market or fair distribution, but also climate change, the energy transition and the closely related mobility. The new district association leader sees the state in duty: "The public sector has to invest to keep the economy going."

Money should only be spent cleverly

His deputy Heckl agrees and adds: "We have been able to save in the past few years." It is important to spend this money cleverly and to invest in future topics. "We don't just need a blunt scrappage bonus."

"The tasks are exciting and a great and beautiful challenge," says Seidl about his new position. As Schanderl's deputy, he had been able to sniff into the chairman's work for six years. In addition to Seidl and Heckl, the new board members include Markus Kennerknecht (Grafrath), Norbert Seidl (Puchheim), Peter Münster (Eichenau), Joseph Schäffler (Moorenweis), Andreas Magg (Olching) and Andreas Haas (Germering).
