Adama Traoré case: are the conclusions of the latest expert report "very clear"?

2020-06-05T08:16:11.249Z

VERIFICATION - This is what the lawyer for the family of the young man who died in 2016 says. Is it that simple when a battle of expertise has been raging for four years?

THE QUESTION. Tuesday June 2, 5:57 p.m. On the Parisian website, an article is published which reveals the existence of new medical expertise in the Adama Traoré affair, named after this young man of 24 who died on July 19, 2016 in the gendarmerie barracks of Persan (Val -d'Oise) after his arrest in Beaumont-sur-Oise by three gendarmes. At 7:17 p.m., an AFP dispatch confirms this information, while at the same time, thousands of demonstrators are gathered on the forecourt of the courthouse, in the 17th arrondissement of Paris. And this, despite the police prefecture's ban on assembly a few hours earlier.

Unlike the last expertise, revealed on May 29, that revealed on June 2 implicates the gendarmes in the young man's death. "The conclusions of this report are very clear: the death of Adama Traoré results from the ventral plating exercised by the three gendarmes," said Me Yassine Bouzrou, the lawyer for the Traoré family, in Paris.
