Despite threats by US President Donald Trump to suppress demonstrators using military force, anti-racist protests and US police violence continued for the ninth consecutive day across the United States.
Hundreds of thousands of Americans went out in different states last night, according to The Washington Post, in protest at the murder of George Floyd, an African American, by the police, and for justice and for dozens of Americans of different ethnicities who died as a result of police violence and racial discrimination.
New York, Washington, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles states witnessed major peace protests, while some cities lifted a curfew that failed to limit the range of demonstrations.
