If it passes, it will raise US$2 billion (about 15.6 billion yuan).

The bank intends to use the funds raised to strengthen the capital base and support business growth.

The news also pointed out that CCB International, Haitong, Agricultural Bank of China and CITIC Lyon are joint sponsors.

In 2004, Bohai Bank obtained a 19.9% ​​stake in Standard Chartered Hong Kong and became the second largest shareholder. Other shareholders include Tianjin TEDA and COSCO Group.
