" In order to secure our future and prosper, we must evolve our economic model and place humans and the planet at the heart of creation of global value ," said the Prince of Wales, who has been committed to the preservation of the environment. If there is one essential lesson to be learned from this crisis, it is that we must place nature at the heart of our way of operating. We just can't waste any more time . ”

" This global pandemic has also demonstrated once again how interconnected we are, " said Klaus Schwab . It is our duty to re-establish a functional system of intelligent global cooperation, structured to meet the challenges of the next 50 years  ”. " The Covid-19 has accelerated our transition to the era of the fourth industrial revolution," added the conductor of Davos, who claimed authorship of this expression several decades ago. We need to ensure that new technologies in the digital, biological and physical world remain human-centered and serve society as a whole, providing everyone with equitable access  . ” " We must not miss this window of opportunity,  " he insists, supported in this sense by the UN secretary-general and the patron of the IMF. To move from incantation to action, " we must mobilize all the leaders,  " urged Prince Charles.

To this end, Klaus Schwab announced that the Davos Forum in January 2021, the 51st edition of the event, would continue to welcome the great people of this world to the Alpine resort but would be partly virtual. Some 10,000 people, including many representatives of the young generation, and among them " young leaders " of the World Economic Forum, will participate from 400 cities around the world to challenge heads of state and big bosses, and to inspire innovative ideas. Staying with his feet on the ground, Klaus Schwab concluded this conference to launch this “ process  ” of networking goodwill, by recalling that we cannot “ change our state of mind  ” or change the world if the economy does not remain solid and prosperous.
