The Lance Armstrong doping scandal

For years, Lance Armstrong was one of the most famous and adored athletes in professional cycling, winning the Tour de France seven times. In addition, he fought a battle against cancer and was at the center of a historic campaign against that disease. However, a doping scandal led to Armstrong being stripped of all his Tour de France titles and thrown out of cycling, in one of the largest falls from grace in the history of American sports.
