The US health authorities have announced 35 new deaths from the Corona virus in New York in the past 24 hours.
This is "the lowest death toll from the epidemic since the outbreak of the pandemic in the state," New York Governor Andrew Como said.
"These positive indicators allow reopening the state's places of worship by absorbing 25 percent within the framework of the second stage to ease restrictions imposed to limit the spread of the virus," Como said.
According to official data published on the state's Department of Health website, there have so far been more than 376,000 infections and 24,475 deaths from the virus in New York.
