The technical workshops in the Al-Tayem facility in Deir Al-Zour completed the rehabilitation of the second gas group for generating electricity in the facility with local expertise and cadres.
The General Manager of the Al-Tayem Power Generation Facility, Eng. Tariq Al-Okleh, stated in a statement to the SANA reporter that the employees of the facility were able to rehabilitate the second gas group to generate electricity that has been stalled since 2012 and that was subjected to great damage by terrorist groups.
And Ikoula indicated that the work done by the technical workshops included repairing the damaged parts of the second group by transferring the similar parts from the third group and repairing the damage in them and installing and re-operating them after securing the necessary replacement parts.
He pointed out that a 10.5 / 66 kV lifting transformer with a capacity of 40 MFA from Qatina station was secured, reinstalled, equipped and connected with the 66 kV transfer station, and civil works were followed for the filters and coolers bases for the second group with the General Company for Building and Construction "Eastern Region Branch" and processing of a line Gas for the second group in cooperation with the Directorate of Gas Transportation in Deir Ezzor.
He pointed out that the follow-up experiences of taking off and removing notes until reaching the stage of taking off the group and connecting them with the network were confirmed, confirming that they are now ready for action.
