In preparation for the public certification exams for the 2020 session, which begins on the 21st of June and continuing until the 14th of next July, the Ministry of Education has taken a set of necessary measures to secure the exam process and tools from centers and halls in a way that ensures the implementation of precautionary measures to address the Corona virus and ensure the health of students and examiners. .

The first steps started with preparing exam centers in coordination between the education directorates and the examination directorate with all the necessary exam process (seats, doors, drawers, offices, tables, floors, walls, windows, stairs, bathrooms, and furniture), according to the director of exams in the ministry, Younes Fati in his statement to the SANA delegate.

Fati stressed that the directors of the exam departments in the governorates check the exam centers to ensure their safety and their complete readiness, as the necessary stationery was provided and the correction centers were prepared to fully implement the exam process.

On students leaving the locations of terrorist groups and areas liberated from the hands of terrorists, Fati explained that hosting centers have been prepared for them, where they will undergo medical examinations and high-level health care before entering the exam in cooperation with international organizations to ensure that there is no injury between them or the transmission of infection if any to the other students .

Fati pointed out that a regulatory committee was allocated in each exam center whose mission is to sterilize (hands for students, observers, delegates and visitors upon entering the exam center) and daily sterilization of surfaces in the exam center (seats, doors, drawers, offices and tables) after the exam is completed and workers exit from the center in addition to sterilizing exam centers All of the (floors, walls, windows, stairs, bathrooms, and furniture) before the date of the start of public exams, indicating that the members of these committees should wear gloves on any contact with students, such as the preventive inspection before the exam, with sterilization of hands after each contact and following a special mechanism that organizes this gradually to avoid crowding when students enter To and out of the examination center.

Fati pointed out that coordination has been made with the police who will be at the center of the center to avoid gatherings of students and their families near the examination center, hoping that this phenomenon of gatherings will not be present this year at all because it is not useful and leads to increased anxiety among students during the exam in addition to being unhealthy as it is not achieved Spatial divergence taken as a response to the Corona virus.

Fati indicated that the use of masks during the exam is not imposed on students and will be used only for sick students to prevent the spread of infection, indicating that there will be no thermal examination at the door of each exam center in addition to preventing any student from taking the exam outside the exam centers, whether it is in hospitals or health centers .

Fati stressed that the students were distributed to the examination centers closest to their homes to help them arrive without using transportation. As for the free students, they were distributed according to the address of the residence listed on the registration request by them.

Fati pointed out that the total number of students enrolled in the public certification exams for the 2020 cycle reached 557348 students distributed over 301145 for the basic education certificate and 210027 for high school divided by 128867 for the scientific branch, 81157 for the literary branch, 1824 for the legal high school, 4499 for the legal preparatory and 39853 for the high school with all its specializations divided into 17406 for all the specializations divided into 1740 Industrial City 19470 for Commercial High School and 2977 for High School for Women.

According to Fati, the number of exam centers reached 4,901 exam centers in all governorates, divided into 2501 centers for basic education students and 1900 centers for general secondary divided into 1142 centers for the scientific branch, 758 centers for the literary branch, 31 centers for Sharia law, 60 centers for legal preparations and 409 centers for professional secondary schools with all its branches, pointing out that The number of exam centers has been increased and expanded in proportion to the measures taken to address the new Corona virus, to achieve spatial divergence between students, as the number of students in each examination hall has been limited between 15 to 20 students with two monitors, ensuring students are approximately 1.5 meters apart.

And on the health emergency plan adopted by the Ministry to complete the exam process and ensure the health and safety of students and the teaching and administrative staff of its employees, the Director of School Health in the Ministry, Hatton Al-Tawashi, stated that the plan includes sterilization of all 4901 exam centers distributed in 2700 buildings in all governorates before starting the exam with a substance Extended "sodium hypochlorite" and sterilizing the hands of students and observers upon entering the exam center with an alcohol spray or gel of 70 percent, in addition to distributing posters and brochures in all centers to raise awareness about the disease and means of infection prevention and hanging them on the walls in clear, easy-to-read places.

Al-Tawashi indicated that 110 emergency centers and health centers in all governorates will be fully equipped and sterilized, and to provide the emergency bags, supplies and necessary medicines for them, especially individual means of protection from gloves, masks, clothing and hand sanitizers, so that the medical teams are ready to deal with any emergency during the exam with confirmation To fully coordinate with the Ministry of Health and its directorates operating in the governorates that will work to secure ambulances equipped to be present in front of emergency centers to transport medical teams to exam centers as soon as possible in case of any emergency during the exam, and some medical teams working in health centers of the Ministry of Health will be used In remote places where there are no school health clinics.

Al-Tawashi explained that an administrative room will be allocated in each exam center to isolate sick students who suffer from health conditions in need of isolation, provided that full coordination is made with the Ministry of Health and the School Health Directorate in these cases in addition to handing out sick students with respiratory symptoms or raising my calamities as masks to wear them. During the exam to prevent the spread of infection, it will be delivered to them free of charge within the examination center.

Al-Tawashi pointed out that a team of 50 school health doctors from all governorates had started training in cooperation with UNICEF and provide them with a training plan through which they will train the heads of the test centers on Corona virus, means of infection prevention and health measures to be taken in exam centers during Exam according to the plan in addition to the mechanisms for dealing with emergency cases for students and students and calling the medical teams working in emergency centers in addition to implementing a training program for 500 health assistance from school health in all governorates in cooperation with the World Health Organization on the same topics in addition to the proper use of individual prevention methods and mechanisms for safe disposal .
