During his meeting today, the Minister called on Islamic scholars and Christian clerics in the Al-Rawda Mosque in Lattakia to confront the terrorist and economic war that is waging against Syria by fighting extremism and terrorist ideology and at the same time encouraging society and urging its children to join together and revive a culture of mutual support and self-reliance in all fields to overcome the pressures Economic.

The Minister of Awqaf pointed to the role of the clergy in spreading awareness, a culture of love and solidarity, especially with regard to fighting monopoly and exploiting the needs of people, stressing that this role is a legitimate and essential duty in the exceptional circumstances that the country is going through.

Minister Al-Sayed indicated that the meeting with Islamic scholars and Christian clergy comes as part of a tour of all provinces, especially after the return of mosques and churches to receive worshipers and their faithful role after a break of two months due to measures to tackle the Corona virus.

For his part, the Governor of Latakia Ibrahim Al-Salem indicated during the meeting that Latakia, in addition to being the land of the alphabet and science, is a microcosm of the Syrian people, where the culture of coexistence and love, especially as it embraced Syrians from all governorates.
