Polling - The smell of connector fish and warm meat loaf made many customers, including many regular customers, want more. But it was not quite as before. It was not only the obligation to wear a mask that shaped the image, catering was also not possible. Nevertheless, many customers enjoyed the recovered atmosphere and fortified themselves with the "best liver loaf rolls", according to one woman, juicy cakes and coffee in a cozy corner and watched the goings-on at a proper distance.

Agathe Zach from Bruckmühl has been coming to the Pollinger Markt for years with her liqueurs, jams and home-made schnapps from her own orchards. "We have a distillery right on our farm and my mother is responsible for the distillery," says the trader. She is also happy about the good business: "I am satisfied, the schnapps and jams are going particularly well today." With Anton Lohner and helper Vreni Spensberger from Bad Heilbrunn, there is less going on today than usual. They have been coming with her for over 20 years Fruit and vegetable stand from the "Naturtalente" shop. "But it will start again, it has to", Lohner is confident and is happy about the good sale, especially of his fresh radishes and radish. Anna Sloof and helper Gerda Wittmann from Peißenberg are there with 18 cakes and cakes. The farmer has been baking cake bases for a week, which were filled on Thursday and Friday. “The sale is surprisingly good. I wasn't sure how it will go today. But I think we will be sold out by the time the market closes, ”says the young mother, who is currently on parental leave.

Pollinger farmers' market: normality is returning

Customers are also very satisfied that they can stroll through the popular market again and stock up on regional and seasonal products. Like Hannelore and Manfred Gmach from Polling. The couple has lived in the monastery village for 41 years. The market is part of both. "Without the market it was a sad time, now a bit of normality is returning," said the Pollingerin, who stocked herself with jam, cake, sausage, cheese and vegetables. A young family with two children from Peißenberg, who came to the market for the first time in Polling, is happy about the offer. "We want to have a look first and then go shopping," says the young father. Little visitors were also taken care of, who could practice milking with a “pseudo cow”.

The next farmers' market in Polling is planned for August 1st

Josef Pröbstl from the Bavarian Farmers' Association is also pleased about the opening. “Unfortunately, the market today has to run without entertainment, which is a shame. But I hope everything will be the same again in August. We have such a nice church square here, ”enthuses Pröbstl.

The next Pollinger farmers market is on Saturday, August 1st, in the church square.
