IPS guards landed in Israel a short time ago and brought in prisoner Nati Haddad to continue serving his sentence in Israel.

A team of 2 officers and a paramedic took off on Saturday evening, 6.6.20 at 20:45 on El Al flight to Bankcock, Thailand. After a 12-hour stay in a hotel room at the airport without leaving, the prison guards received the prisoner who was accompanied by an Israeli consul in Thailand and a Thai escort team to carry out IDF-sponsored ID.

Before he was brought to the airport, Haddon had a negative corona test.

From the first encounter until after the prisoner enters the Israeli prison, the staff and the prisoner are fully clothed. After the check-in process at the Thai airport, accompanied by local wardens and the consulate in Thailand, Haddad was brought to the plane ramp where he was transferred to IPS guards.

The complexity of escorting prisoners during the Corona period is several times greater than this kind of escort operation in routine. Alongside the operational and logistical complexity of this activity while keeping the prisoner until his arrival in Israel, many coordinations were made in full cooperation with the Foreign Ministry, the Israeli Embassy in Thailand, the Justice Ministry and the leadership of the Prison Service's Operations Department which conducted the complex operation within 72 hours.

The flight took off to Israel yesterday (Sunday) at 21:00 (01:00 Thailand time) and landed at Ben Gurion Airport about 7:45 am. An escort team of the Nachshon unit received the prisoner in full personal protection and took him to prison. "Ayalon", where an undergoing procedure will include an examination by the unit physician, a social worker, an intelligence officer, and will be transferred to a screening wing where he will spend 14 days until he is integrated into the interment wing as he determines.

Another corona test will be taken from him upon arrival at the prison. The special escort team returning from Thailand will also spend 14 days in home isolation before returning to work.

Nurit Haddad, Nati's mother, said in an interview to Effie Trigger at the GFL that she was counting on the minutes for the long-awaited landing: "He did not believe that one day he would arrive in Israel. Three weeks ago, I told him, "Nati, next Monday is next to you in the country." I took a risk. "
