PM Olmert Addresses Police Following Post Posting Against Him and His Family • "Expect a determined response from police and bringing those responsible to justice"

PM Netanyahu filed another complaint this morning with police for inciting murder against him and his wife. This is the third complaint made by the Prime Minister in recent weeks.

The complaint was filed against a social network user on Facebook who posted a post in which he wished Prime Minister Netanyahu's son, Yair Netanyahu, "to orphan from his parents soon."

The Prime Minister's Office said: "Recently, the incitement against the Prime Minister and his family has crossed a red line of explicit calls to murder him and his family, some of whom are clearly identified with the extreme left. The Prime Minister expects a determined response from the police and bringing those responsible to justice."

Israel today makes it clear: "The writer of the post in question is an external provider that provides service to the Israeli system today. The system has nothing to do with the things for which the complaint was filed. We defend and will continue to defend any unauthorized statements on the network."

The Blade 433 cyber unit arrested a week ago a 21-year-old infantry soldier in the north on suspicion of posting a threat threatening to strike Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Following a post posted on the network, a police investigation has been opened. Dr. Gal Wolf, who represents the soldier on suspicion of threats against the prime minister: "This is a soldier with no criminal record. He cooperates with investigators and emphasized that he had no intention of injuring anyone. We expect the police to complete the investigation as soon as possible and prevent further detention. Unnecessary".
