The young Hans Bürklin studied business administration at Munich's Ludwig Maximilians University and also did his doctorate in the subject. He is a typical representative of the war generation. After the war, Hans Bürklin joined his brother early in his parents' interior decorating and upholstery business on Blumenstrasse in Munich, now Prälat-Zistl-Strasse. In his own interest and a little bit of black market activity, he decided relatively quickly to open his own company in Schillerstrasse in 1954. He knew his way around well and had detailed knowledge especially about the electron tubes. That was an advantage. During his stay in America, he stumbled across the mail order system and began shipping his goods by post. For this he mainly appealed to commercial customers. It stayed at the Munich location for a long time, in the 90s they moved on to a house number. In the meantime, a branch in Düsseldorf and one in Saarbrücken were added. Not to forget that a marriage was also committed and three children were born, all of whom made their first physical attempts in the father's tinkering workshop.

2011 site in Oberhaching found

In the end, the space in Munich simply became too small and the Bürklins found the site in Oberhaching. In the meantime, father Hans had already retired and moved to Wasserburg on Lake Constance.
