The Knesset Constitution Committee on Tuesday approved a second and third reading of "Norwegian law", meaning the entry of 12 new Knesset members instead of coalition ministers and deputy ministers.

Committee Chairman MK Ya'akov Asher (Torah Judaism) said "It is possible to argue about the way but in essence the law is good. No sense about them.

"We're not going to pass dramatic laws in the blink of an eye. The committee discussions will be exhaustive, deep and unpopular, take as long as it takes and regulate the legislation. We will find the balances. ".

MK Miki Levy (who has a future for Tel Aviv), who became one of the biggest opponents of his former partners in blue and white, said: "This law is an unnecessary and unworthy law at such a time, NIS 101 million covers unemployment benefits to 100,000 people. This law is not a Norwegian law, there is no resemblance.

MK Eli Avidar (Israel House): "This is not a happy day. Although it is important to preserve the role of the Knesset and its power, we have reached a situation of overriding and automatic voting of the coalition in a way that cannot even accept the coalition's reservations. "

Eight MKs supported the law: MK Ya'akov Asher (Torah Judaism) and MKs Shlomo Qari, Uzi Dayan, May Golan (Likud), Eitan Ginsburg, Mickey Haimovich, Ram Shefa (blue and white), Moshe Abutbul (SHAS)

Five MKs oppose the law: Yoav Segalovich, Miki Levy (Yesh Atim Talam), Osama Saadi, Sundos Salah (joint list), Eli Avidar (Israel Beitano)

It should be added that now the law must be brought to final approval in the Knesset plenum and then about 12 Hakim representatives of Blue and White factions, Likud, Shas and Torah Judaism will be able to appoint new Hakim instead of their ministers and deputy ministers resigning.
