The pace of qualification of craft and industrial facilities damaged by terrorism increased in Homs Governorate during the current year, as the number of facilities that were rehabilitated and returned to work and production reached 6890 industrial facilities, of which 2732 facilities during the current year, some of which will directly contribute to supporting reconstruction such as the production of electric elevators, copper and aluminum panels.
Engineer Bassam Al-Saeed, Director of Homs Industry, stated in a statement to the SANA Economic Bulletin that this year witnessed the completion of the process of qualifying and repairing many of the facilities affected by the events and putting them in work and production again, which contributes to enhancing self-sufficiency and dispensing with the import of many materials and commodities, and that will reflect positively on the situation The livelihood of citizens through the employment of workers and supports the national economy by increasing production.
And Al-Saeed indicated that 59 of the industrial and crafts establishments were licensed and implemented in accordance with Law 21 from the beginning of the current year until the end of May, with a capital of one billion and 155 million pounds that provides about 200 jobs, pointing to the registration of 24 facilities into production with a capital of about 230 million Syrian pounds, including 13 food establishments Three engineering, seven chemical and one textile.
The total number of industrial and crafts enterprises registered in the Homs Industry Directorate is currently 11,394 industrial and crafts establishments.
