Indicted on 13-year-old rape suspect in Ramat Hasharon

The Tel Aviv District Attorney's Office (Criminal) filed an indictment against Israel Haim (24) of Jerusalem on Sunday for rape offenses and sodomy of a 13-year-old minor, supplying a drink from a minor and interfering with a police officer in his capacity.

According to the indictment, filed by attorney Danit Suez, the defendant knew the minor on Instagram and during the correspondence between them, the minor wrote that she was 13 and sent a photo of her face. Later, the two arranged to meet in a public garden in Ramat Hasharon.

The defendant arrived at the venue on June 1 in the evening, equipped with a bottle of vodka. The two drank and the defendant committed minor sex offenses while under the influence of alcohol and took pictures of the acts. A bystander noticed a minor and defendant lying on the lawn and alerted police. A police officer who arrived at the scene asked the defendant to contact him with the minor and in response the defendant took his mobile phones and the minor's and fled the scene until the police officer arrested him.

In the arrest request, attorney Dani Suetz wrote: "This is a respondent who rescued a 13-year-old minor, misled her about his real age, provided her with alcohol, watered her into a renter and committed rape and sodomy in the middle of a public garden when bystanders could spot what was going on."
