The new normal: After months of closure due to the Corona epidemic, and the return of the most widespread borders in EU history, the continent of Europe is beginning to remove restrictions on domestic tourism, ahead of the summer tourism period. Tomorrow (Monday) European Union countries are expected to allow free passage of citizens of other countries to their borders without the need for isolation.

The borders, which were first set between the states for decades, began to be removed. The opening of the border between Germany and Poland in the area of Gerlitz, Germany and Zugozalz, Poland was accompanied by a festive film cutting ceremony and even Italy, which was the epicenter of the global plague many weeks began to open its borders.

However, citizens of some countries - where the outbreak is still going on - will have to wait to be accepted before their neighbors as tourists. It should be noted that tourists from the United States, the continent of South America and Asia will not be able to reach the continent without a closure.

Sweden and the UK are left behind

Austria  will allow the free movement of all EU citizens except Spain, Portugal Sweden and the United Kingdom and does not cancel the travel warning to the Lombardy region in Italy. France  will require anyone coming from the UK to stay in solitary confinement for two weeks. The Czech Republic will require isolation from citizens of Sweden, Portugal and the Silesian region of Poland or alternatively a negative corona test.

Denmark  will only allow entry to the residents of Germany, Norway and Iceland - and only if they intend to stay in the country for six days or more. The border with Sweden will also remain closed. Spain,  which has been significantly affected by the virus, will allow tourists from Germany to reach the Palma de Mallorca area without isolation, before deciding whether to allow tourism to the country itself. Germany is expected to allow entry to European citizens except Finland, Norway Spain and Sweden, and the UK  is still expected to require a 14-day isolation from tourists entering it.

The country that has successfully coped with the crisis hopes tourists will choose it

The Mediterranean basin states built on summer tourism want to get tourists, with the aim of reinvigorating the local economy, and Greece - which is dealing with the crisis is considered successful, hopes the country's positive morbidity data will encourage tourists to reach it, but its government also knows that the current tourist season will be more complicated, And not sure its many islands' beaches will fill up as before. "It all depends on whether people will feel comfortable traveling, and whether Greece will be considered a safe place to go," Greek Prime Minister Kiryakos Mitsutakis said.

However, not all tourist countries have coped with the plague as successfully as Greece, and some will have to deal with a much more damaged reputation on the continent that lost 182,000 people to the virus. Who is likely to be most significantly hurt by European tourists' concerns, though, is Britain. There, too, the government seems to have responded late to the outbreak of the virus, leading to a more serious outbreak of the Corona virus - making it a less attractive tourist destination for citizens of its neighbors of the Union, certainly given that, as noted, it does not remove the obligation of isolation from tourists coming to it.

But on the bottom line, it is clear to everyone in Europe, the ministers, the tourism industry, and the tourists themselves that 2020 will be a completely different year from the past, a year that will undoubtedly hurt the mainland tourism business. "I ask everyone who wants to travel, enjoy your vacation, but be cautious and responsible," German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas addressed to the citizens of the country - in a statement that encapsulates the sensations in Europe, "We want to make sure the summer holidays will not allow the virus to erupt again in Europe."
