The Egyptian Ministry of Health announced that 89 deaths and 1,547 new infections with the new Corona virus have been recorded during the past 24 hours.
The ministry’s spokesperson, Khaled Mujahid, said in a statement last night that the total number of infections due to the Corona virus in Egypt has reached 53,758 to date, including 2,106 deaths.
Mujahid indicated that 399 of those infected with the virus were discharged from isolation and quarantine hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care, bringing the total of those recovered to 14,327 people.
