Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurtz today called on the European Union to reject blackmail by the Turkish regime, calling at the same time to stop illegal immigration to the countries of the Union.
"Our responsibility as Europeans ... We must not be blackmailed by Turkey and we must stop illegal immigration at our external borders, like the Greek border," Kurtz wrote on Twitter today.
Greece was the first obstacle to the plans of the Recep Tayyip Erdogan regime to flood Europe with migrants, as it prevented about 10 thousand migrants from crossing the Turkish border into its territory, and recently thwarted a NATO statement supporting the Turkish regime.
Erdogan had ordered the Turkish police, coast guard and border security officials not to stop the transit of migrants across land and sea to Europe, striking at the wall of the agreement signed by Turkey and Europe four years ago on stopping the flow of migrants to European lands in exchange for financial and political gains.
