Alfonso Pio, 52 years old son of Domenico Pio boss of the clan of the 'ndrangheta of Desio (Monza) arrested in the maxi' Infinito 'investigation of 2010, would have become the "owner" of the Hotel of the Gulf of Finale Ligure (Savona). This can be read in the order signed by the magistrate of Milan Guido Salvini, at the request of prosecutors Adriano Scudieri and Francesco Cajani, with whom he was arrested today together with 3 others.
The investigation was conducted by the postal police. Among other things, Alfonso Pio is accused of extortion aggravated by the mafia method because, together with another of those arrested, Omar Petrocca, "with threats" would have forced the members of Confort Hotels & Resorts srl, "the company that owns the Hotel del Golfo ", to deliver to Petrocca" the paper certificates attesting to the ownership of the shares of the company ". And this is to "obtain control of the latter, without following up on the preliminary contract for the sale of the same shares already stipulated" with another shareholder.
Thus Pio would have obtained in 2018 the "control of the company" and of the resort. Alfonso Pio, cousin of Candeloro Pio, who was also arrested in the maxi investigation 'Infinito' ten years ago and head of the 'locale' of Desio, allegedly claimed his "belonging" to the 'Ndrangheta to impose himself on the "victims".
Since 2016, then, he would have imposed that his partner Nelli Gubina, called Stella, "stay for free in a suite reserved for her, both in the summer and in the winter season despite the hotel being closed to the public from October to April". In June 2018 he would also have threatened a hotel employee "with death" by telling him "that Stella 'can take whatever she wants ... I am the boss'" and on August 1, 2018 she would have beaten him "taking possession of the cash present in the cashier" . Membership of Pio's' ndrangheta, as stated in the ordinance, was proposed "also by Petrocca in some talks" with one of the members of the hotel company. Petrocca said that Pio was a person "difficult to reason."

So one of the members of the company that owns the Hotel del Golfo in Finale Ligure (Savona), which ended up in the hands of the 'ndrangheta, spoke of the impossibility of presenting itself to the shareholders' meeting in April 2018 after the threats it would suffer from Alfonso Pio . Also on the occasion of a subsequent shareholders' meeting, on June 12, 2018 in Milan Alfonso Pio "threatened" the same partner who, then, said to him "this is the second time that I blow up the meeting ... and I take it responsibilities ... I did what you wanted. " Also following "the state of intimidation", the partner and his wife, also in the company, had the "original of the share certificates" delivered to Omar Petrocca, one of the arrested, on August 28, 2018 "who showed them at the meeting of the day following and took possession of it. " Thus the 'ndrangheta would gain control of the hotel.
"Str .... speak slowly ... mer face ... I'll cut your head off". So Alfonso Pio addressed an intercepted in June 2018 to an employee of the Hotel del Golfo in Finale Ligure (Savona) who passed, as emerged from the investigations, under the control of the clan.
Alfonso Pio and Ezio Mario Scirea, another arrested, are also contested for an episode of usury. Between 2018 and 2019, an entrepreneur in crisis would have been "given and promised" as consideration for a loan of 10 thousand euros, "usurious interest equal to about 5% of the capital on a monthly basis".
