" I decided to address this complaint to the Attorney General for a change of scenery, " said Rémy Heitz, citing the " links " between the Paris prosecutor's office and the PNF. " We share the same premises " at the Paris court, " we are organically placed with the same jurisdiction ", the Paris public prosecutor's office, he said.
Eric Dupond-Moretti filed a lawsuit Tuesday against X for " violation of the intimacy of the private life and the secrecy of the correspondences " and " abuse of authority ", following the revelation of large-scale investigations carried out by the PNF to identify the " mole " who could have informed Nicolas Sarkozy and his lawyer Thierry Herzog that they were being tapped in a corruption case.
In February 2014, the PNF indeed asked to peruse the detailed telephone bills (" fadettes ") of ten tenors of the bar, including Me Dupond-Moretti, and magistrates. It took almost six years for this procedure, without result, to be classified without continuation at the end of 2019.
Revealed by Le Point , this investigation caused a stir among lawyers and in the political world. The President of Paris, Me Olivier Cousi, who castigated an "extraordinary and worrying " investigation , has announced a forthcoming legal action. After asking the Attorney General for a " detailed report ", Justice Minister Nicole Belloubet ordered an inspection on Wednesday to shed light on the investigation.
