The government now wishes to avoid "dry layoffs" as much as possible and will encourage Airbus to favor, for example, voluntary departure plans. The secretary of state also clarified that it was too early to say whether site closures were being considered.
"Airbus has an extremely responsible boss," argued Jean-Baptiste Djebbari, referring to the Frenchman Guillaume Faury.
