The Ministry of Communications and Technology put the Old Khan al-Wazir phone center in Aleppo into service today after its rehabilitation and maintenance from damage and sabotage caused by terrorist attacks.

Eng. Iyad Al-Khatib, Minister of Communications and Technology, stated in a statement to reporters during his tour of the communications centers in Aleppo, that twenty thousand numbers were put into service in the Khan Al-Wazir Center out of 57 thousand numbers that were before the crisis, noting the efforts made by the staff of the General Telecommunication Corporation by regrouping the devices related to work The exchanges, utilization and operation thereof, in addition to preparing a number of internet portals in the first stage of operation, and there are batches coming from the portals that will be placed in service accordingly.

The Minister of Communications and Technology drew attention to continuing work to restore and equip the rest of the damaged telephone centers in Aleppo and return them to service during the next few months, including the Sana Muhaidly Center, and during the next year the Hanano and Hajj bridge centers will be put into service.

In turn, Eng. Muhammad Al-Hasna, Director of Khan Al-Wazir Phone Center, stated that the center has been rehabilitated and operated with the efforts of local technical cadres to secure the telephone service for citizens and business events by allocating 20 thousand numbers and 400 ADSL gates, which will serve the righteous markets, Bab Al-Nasr, Bab Al-Hadid and Bab Antioch Kulase and the rest of the old Aleppo.

The Syrian Telecom Corporation also completed the restoration of the Sana Muhaidly phone center in the Qadi Askar neighborhood, the editor, and continues to work to equip it technically during the coming period and put it into service. Engineer Saif Al-Din Al-Hassan, Director of the Aleppo Communications Branch, stated in a similar statement that the construction work has been completed to restore the building in preparation for putting it into service after Repairing the damage caused by terrorism, and work is currently being done to collect technical devices from the rest of the suspended work centers, to rehabilitate them with the aim of operating them in the coming months, and to serve the neighborhoods of Al-Sakhour, Al-Maysar, Al-Shaar, and the high-density al-Luz dam with twenty thousand numbers.
