The United States registers more than 44,000 new cases of covid-19

At least 44,766 new cases of coronavirus and 1,277 deaths were reported in the United States on Tuesday, according to Johns Hopkins University.

At least 2 million 635,538 covid-19 infections, including at least 127,425 related deaths, have been reported across the country, according to the university's case count.

The totals include cases from all 50 states, the District of Columbia and other US territories, as well as repatriated cases.
