With a harsh editorial in which he accused former President Cristina Kirchner and trucker leader Hugo Moyano of wanting to scare him, journalist Luis Majul defended himself against the accusations of former Secretary of the Presidency, Oscar Parrilli, who said he was "an agent of inorganic intelligence "during the Government of Mauricio Macri.

"If (Jorge) Lanata, (Nicolás) Wiñazki and I were spies, as Cristina Fernández's ventriloquist , Oscar Parrilli maintains, we would be very bad spies. The serious causes of corruption against Hugo Moyano began in 2011. And those of Cristina Fernández in 2008 ", Majul launched in the text published on his website.

And he added: "They both enjoyed an inordinate power. The same power that they enjoy now and with which they intend to frighten us ."

Majul, who remarked that in his 40 years of journalism "was never" condemned for publishing false information, "he warned that he and the rest of the journalists would not be" intimidated: "We are many and very strong. We do not lie. We do not do operations. We are not like them. They are not going to make it . "

Parrilli, current senator from Neuquén for the Frente de Todos, accused Majul of being part of an alleged illegal espionage network during the Macrista government.

"It was a perverse system of political espionage, of persecution and defamation, orchestrated and armed without a doubt by Macri with (Silvia) Majdalani, (Gustavo) Arribas, Marcos Peña, (Germán) Garavano, (Patricia) Bullrich and some judges and prosecutors", Parrilli said days ago in an interview with El Destape .

Majul's full editorial:

I have been working as a journalist for more than 40 years. I wrote several investigative books where dozens of corruption cases were revealed. With name and surname. I was never convicted of publishing false information. For the past ten years, I have had to spend some of my energy defending myself against false accusations. They accused me of evading taxes. I was widely dismissed. They tried to silence me by removing, from one day to the next, the same publicity that all the media received. They could not. The Supreme Court ended up ruling in our favor, which set a precedent in the matter. I have received accusations so delirious that they were dismissed on the spot. I have endured public intimidation campaigns that included illegal poster stickers, television specials, threats on my personal phone, and attempted physical assaults. We denounce them to justice, as appropriate.

Hugo Moyano's lawyer, Daniel Llermanos, had already accused me, on several occasions, of the same alleged delusional crimes for which they say he is going to request my arrest: being part of a spy network to attack his client. I was dismissed. I repeat: I have already been dismissed in all instances. The last one, in October of last year. Prosecutor Ramiro González and Judge Ariel Lijo and the federal chambers made it clear that we had not committed any crime. Not the slightest. Unlike. They insisted that we were doing our job honestly. Now Llermanos himself wants to put us through the window in a cause that smells rotten.

So that nobody is confused or doubts, I want to tell you, that you have been following me, for so many years, that I do not know any of the accused or detained for alleged illegal espionage. I repeat: I don't know them, I know who; I never contacted them to request any information.

But I also want you to know that receiving information from any source, I repeat, from any source, is the essential job of a journalist. And it is also essential to protect and reserve the sources of information. Irrevocable. It's in the Constitution. And it is part of the base of the democratic system.

On the other hand, if Lanata, Wiñazki and I were spies, as Cristina Fernández's ventriloquist, Oscar Parrilli maintains, we would be very bad spies. The serious causes of corruption against Hugo Moyano began in 2011. And those of Cristina Fernández in 2008. Both enjoyed inordinate power. The same power that they enjoy now and with which they try to scare us.

We are many and very strong.

We do not lie.

We do not do operations.

We are not like them.

they will not achieve.
