Stroll in the parks and gardens or indulge in reading comics for two days, ask for the program for this first weekend in July.

Open gardens in Île-de-France

From the usual weekend that should have taken place in October, the event took an unprecedented turn by starting on July 4 and 5 and extending all summer. A boon for Ile-de-France residents who, with confinement, need chlorophyll. With 78% of agricultural and forestry land, the region does not lack initiatives in this area and shares it. Art installations, exhibitions, shows, concerts, educational workshops ... many activities are offered throughout the summer in the gardens. For this opening weekend, a few examples: the Moulin Jaune in Crécy-la-Chapelle (77), a place of artistic experimentation for the Slava clown. This garden theater, labeled "remarkable garden" offers a hippie theme, a walk and a picnic as well as a concert by Tag Ekang Music Experience. You can admire installations by artists Claude Hassan and Sylvie Klein in the Rentilly Cultural Park (77) as well as several shows and workshops. We will not pass by without stopping in the famous Potager du Roi in Versailles (78) or Potager-Fruitier de la Roche-Guyon (95). Or the installation-sculpture “Tomates Célestes” by Christian Delécluse at the V'île Fertile market garden micro-farm in Paris (12th). Without forgetting the “Living together” at the Good Planet Foundation and the Sensitive Zone project of the Urban Farm of Saint-Denis (93) which receives star chef Julien Dumas to lead culinary workshops ...

The Perfume Museum, Maison Fragonard Maison Fragonard

Perfume Museum, Maison Fragonard

1st reopening weekend for the legendary Fragonard house perfume museum. Who says perfume says nose, hence the possible idea of walking around this place blindfolded! And yet… do not miss the elegant scenography which highlights the smallest object in the museum. From the oldest pharmacy bottles or jars that trace the history of perfume to the discovery of manufacturing secrets and the nose craft, traditional French know-how is truly brought to light. Room of the Alembics, room of the labels or room of the olfactions, a cultural and ludic course incites the visitor to test his sense of smell and to discover this universe of luxury where the perfume always held its place in all the times. Maison Fragonard organizes an olfactory event every Wednesday and Saturday at 10am (reservation required) in its laboratory "l'Atelier du parfumeur". There, we talk about top notes, heart notes and background notes, but above all, we create our own perfume, like an apprentice chemist in search of new fragrances (workshop limited to 8 people).
