The Bolivian Prosecutor's Office issued a formal accusation for alleged terrorism crimes against the former president of the country Evo Morales , who is in Argentina, in which he is requesting his preventive detention.
The accusation was issued by the Anticorruption Prosecutors Commission, the Bolivian State Attorney General's Office reported on Monday. The crimes he is charged with are terrorism and terrorist financing.
According to the local newspaper El Deber, they accuse him of having coordinated with the coca grower leader Faustino Yucra the siege of the cities and the food blockade during the 21 days of unemployment after the October 2019 elections.
This was evident from an audio that the Government Minister, Arturo Murillo, presented on November 20, in which a conversation between the leader Yucra and the former president is heard.
According to the indictment, in that conversation, the former Bolivian president allegedly instructed Yucra to commit illegal acts during the violent acts registered in the country as of November 10, 2019.
