"Congratulations, enjoy it": Emmanuel Macron addresses the baccalaureate holders on Tik Tok

That's not all. The head of state took the opportunity to launch a more political appeal to high school students. “Your generation has a world to invent, stronger, more united, more ecological. But it is not me who will decide your future, it will be you, so today, enjoy, and after good luck, "he concludes.

A first and already thousands of subscribers

This first video on this social network has already won hundreds of thousands of subscribers. Emmanuel Macron is used to communicating on social networks, be it Twitter, Facebook, Youtube or even the professional network Linkedin, which he used to address SMEs.

TikTok, owned by the Chinese group ByteDance, acclaimed by the youngest thanks to its videos around humor, dance and music, had 800 million users in January worldwide (according to DataReportal).

The platform has often had to defend itself from its links with China, where its parent company has a similar application, under another name. TikTok has just suspended its application in Hong Kong because of the recent security law imposed by China.
