INTERVIEW - The Director General of Business France will propose to the government an export component which could be integrated into the country's overall recovery plan.


LE FIGARO. - Are French companies ready to export again?

Christophe LECOURTIER. - It is necessary, companies must leave quickly and strongly. It's like someone who falls from a horse: you have to get back in the saddle right away. Tomorrow, places will be expensive in international competition, the cake is now smaller, and we will not find a snap of our market share. Some countries, which are good exporters, are already in the starting blocks. This is the case of the Italians, who have already announced an export pact of 1.3 billion.

Is a recovery plan for export necessary?

After consulting the companies, working with the regions, the Medef, the CCIs and the sectors, it seems that everyone is on this line. We have also proposed to the government an export component that could be integrated into the overall recovery plan planned for the start of the school year.
