Blocks of the Front of All in Congress and in the Buenos Aires Legislature came out to strongly repudiate Together for Change, due to the statement where they pointed out that the death of Fabián Gutiérrez was a fact of "extreme institutional gravity".
In the Chamber of Deputies, the bloc chaired by Máximo Kirchner spoke out against the "totally irresponsible attitude that threatens democratic coexistence" , in the midst of a "serious health crisis".
The text points to "certain leaders and the media this weekend in the face of the death of Fabián Gutiérrez" without specifically mentioning who they refer to.
Although they add: "To this is added the irresponsibility of leaders who promote the division of Argentines and Argentines, going to the extreme of promoting the independence of a province, or urging the population to break the quarantine, alleging that there are not enough deaths", in clear reference to the president of the UCR, Alfredo Cornejo, who spoke of the independence of Mendoza.
"This type of attitude represents a regrettable setback in the democratic quality that this moment demands, and shows a total lack of commitment to the reality that the Argentine population is experiencing," the text concludes.
In the Legislature of the City of Buenos Aires, the extensive communiqué is titled: "Let us not allow ourselves to be won by hatred, let us build a solidary and peaceful Argentina."
In the text, they are accused of "maneuvers to avoid falling into the media's oblivion", not being in solidarity "with those who suffer the most from the pandemic attacks", "military anti-quarantine" and "deepening the crack because no matter what the political decision is that the government takes, it will always be against it since it decided to do politics out of hatred ".
They are the same that as soon as the body of Fabián Gutiérrez, ex-secretary of Cristina Fernández, was found, they issued a statement describing the fact as "extremely institutional gravity", asked that "the investigation go into the orbit of federal justice" and insinuated "manipulations in the scene of the crime ”, at the same time that the suspects of the crime were arrested.
In the Province Senate, the ruling bloc presented a draft declaration by legislator Marta Pérez, which was accompanied by the entire party, where they point out that the statement "violates the democratic order of government" and lamented "the lack institutional commitment and contempt for the division of powers. "
In the parliamentary initiative, it was noted that "this type of demonstration in which serious accusations are made without any evidentiary element threaten the democratic order of government" and it was stated that "the lightness" with which the opposition expresses itself demonstrates "a high degree of irresponsibility and the lack of any type of institutional commitment , thus affecting democratic coexistence ".
"Using the death of a citizen politically is a clear example of opportunism on the part of the Together for Change alliance , " they remarked from the Buenos Aires Front of All. And they stressed that "the accusation made in the statement is not only unfounded, but also affects the division of State Powers, from the moment it aims to sow suspicions regardless of what the judicial investigation determines."
After the strong controversy raised by the statement and the internal one behind closed doors, Together for Change decided to create a new executive table to agree on decisions.
